How to Create a Story Comic with “i” The Guy!

Have you ever wanted to create your very own comic book? Comics are a fun way to be a writer and illustrator of your own action adventure.
Follow the six easy steps listed below, and you will be well on your way to creating an action packed story!

Create your cover
Try to come up with a cover that catches your reader’s attention. Use bright colors, and action packed poses from your characters.

Create a splash page
The first page (splash page) serves as your second cover, title page, and opening credits. Think of it as the intro to a movie.

How to read comic panels
Comic pages are setup in panels that read from left to right and top to bottom.

Mix it up
Layout your panels differently for each page. Think of yourself as a movie director for your story.

Speech bubbles and narration boxes
Most comics use speech bubbles when characters speak. When a character is thinking, thought bubbles are used. When a narrator is describing events, a narration box is used.

Action words
Add action words for noises such as explosions.
