No Mess Writing Practice!
Did you say no mess? Count me in!
Painting with a toddler always sounds fun, until the part where you have to clean up.
We hear you loud and clear! This activity is something that every child no matter what age may be interested in doing but is definitely going to be best for your toddler to express themselves creatively.
Here is what you’ll need:
- Gallon size plastic storage bag
- Paint – any color(s)
- Painters tape
- Q-tip or any unsharpened writing utensil (optional – using their finger is just fine, but we suggest a writing utensil so they can develop the skill of holding something in their hand)
- A sheet of paper to fit inside the storage bag (optional)
- Your imagination!
To begin this activity you’ll want to squire one or several colors into your storage bag.
Next, tape your bag to a table or flat surface. This helps to prevent leakage and keeps it steady for your child.
Now, for the fun part! Allow your child to scribble away… mess-free.
Other options:
- Place a sheet of paper in the storage bag with a letter on it. Let them trace or color that letter.
- Use flashcards with sight words for them to copy.
- Have fun!
