I Am Texas Student Donation

As many of you can imagine, publishing 1,000 students this year has been a huge undertaking on top of preparing to break a Guinness World Record for the Largest Published Book in the World! We can not wait to celebrate these newly published kids and see so many of you on Saturday, November 5th for the big reveal of the 7-foot-tall book. That night we will find out if we officially broke the Guinness World Record!

On November 5th, the published authors and illustrators from all over Texas will be coming to the book signing celebration that afternoon. This is their moment to walk the red carpet and shine as they autograph copies of the I Am Texas book for families, friends, teachers, and donors.

This year, the excitement from the winners and their families to attend the gala later that evening has been overwhelming. Thanks to our Publishing Contest Sponsor, H-E-B, we had the ability to provide complimentary gala tickets to many of the winners and a member of their families already. But, with so many kids published, we need more. Simply put, there are not enough gala tickets for every winner coming to the book signing to also attend the gala.

Your donation truly matters and has recently made it possible for us to give seats to the winning students from Uvalde along with their families and teachers that are able to attend the gala.

Currently, we have over fifty kids now on the gala waiting list. We even have a school that is willing to bus in their winning students if we are able to raise some additional funds to help cover the cost of their seats. This, along with others from around Texas who would like our assistance, is where we need you. For every $100 dollar donation, you will provide a seat at the gala which is a once-in-a-lifetime event for any child, especially those in our underserved communities.

Please consider donating today so we can see as many of our bright and talented winners as possible. We can’t wait to let everyone who donates know how many extra seats we were able to provide to those in need.
